Matcha Tea, a particular variety of green tea is considered to be even more healthy and beneficial than other forms. It is grown and consumed differently than other forms and what’s more, its whole leaves are consumed.

Technically, farmers grow Matcha by covering their tea plants 20–30 days before harvesting to avoid direct sunlight. This shade increases chlorophyll production, boosts the amino acid content, and gives the plant a darker green hue. Once the tea leaves are harvested, the leaves are ground up into a fine powder known as Matcha. Matcha contains the nutrients from the entire tea leaf, which results in a greater amount of caffeine and antioxidants than typically found in green tea. It has all the health benefits of green tea, in greater amounts, so it meets all its hype.

It is very important to be organic one because we consume whole leaves when drinking Matcha.
